About Famous Depot 108 Claypot Laksa

When people talk about Depot Road Claypot Laksa, it will be reminiscent of the original and fragrant smell of the laksa. The rich laksa ingredients and the reasonable price were the attraction. Laksa gravy was superb, fragrant, hot and spicy... the clayot laksa was placed in a yellow plate when served. At that time, it was selling at $3... really super value for money, no wonder attracted a large number of diners, and even the admiring foreign tourists... is truly one of Singapore's famous cuisine.

"Famous Depot 108 Claypot Laksa" has been selling claypot laksa for more than 8 years in Blk 108 Depot Road, Depot Heights Shopping Centre. In order to let diners enjoy the old days claypot laksa taste, we insisted on retaining the characteristics of the Depot Road claypot laksa... rich laksa ingredients, cheap price and cook laksa in claypot. Even if the price hikes over the years, we still keep the prices at $3, $4 and $5.

To make the laksa broth, first we have to fry the lemongrass, dried chilli, onion, garlic, shrimp, blue ginger, turmeric... over low heat. Then add these into special ingredients boiled soup. Finally add coconut milk and stir thoroughly and the fragrant laksa broth is formed. When customer placed an order, we will then cook the laksa ingredients like (thick bee hoon, fine bee hoon, yellow noodle), fish cakes, tau pok, sea prawns, fresh cockles, bean sprouts... in the claypot. As people are more conscious about their health, we use less MSG and less oil and therefore your throat will not feel dry or uncomfortable after eating... that's another characteristics of the Depot Road claypot laksa.

Since opening, our customers came from all over the place... including Mediacorp artists Xiang Yun, Edmund Chen... we are very grateful for all your kind support. To offset the rising prices, we are forced to set our claypot laksa price at $3.50 and $4.50 in March 2014. However, we will uphold the characteristics of the Depot Road claypot laksa, rich ingredients and reasonable price.
