Our founder (my father), who was popularly known as Janggut, was the first person selling nonya laksa at Katong under the name, Marine Parade Laksa. From the very beginning, he served his laksa with spoons, cutting the noodles shorter to make them easy for scooping.
Later, my father and my brothers (one of them was know as mini Janggut) opened a new stall at No. 49 East Coast Road. Due to my father old age, my uncle took over the stall in the later stage. My brothers later took a one-year break and re-opened it at No. 57.
Today, we have reunited at No. 50 East Coast Road #01-64 Roxy Square and has opened another two branches at Bedok and Queensway.

I have tried it many years back, but lost contact after they shifted out. Been trying to locate them, and finally found them again base on a tips from a Nonya shop owner at Katong. Just tried it a moment ago, the original dull-looking thick gravy with thick residue still there! Simply irresistible!

Among the Katong Laksa war, I love their Laksa most. I love the lemak gravy texture and its unique fragrant.

Tried the first time recently. Indeed, the taste is very nice (compare to others). Heard that they don’t add evaporated milk. I like it very much. Must try it!!!
