About Shun Fa Shu Shi

This stall is runned by Mr & Mrs Lee. Our signature dishes are Nasi Lemak and Hokkien Noodle. As for the nasi lemak, the main attraction is our fried chicken wing. The chicken wing skin is crispy and taste fragrant compared to others. The homemade chili is as good too! Hokkien Noodle was recommended by "Today". Taste is very yummy, ingredients are fresh, you got to try it to believe!

Their Nasi Lemak is totally awesome and packs a powerful punch in their home-made chili! Its spicy and sweet, and is really a good accompaniment to the rice. The soft and fluffy rice is extremely fragrant and is best when eaten warm together with the freshly fried chicken wings. The skin of the chicken is crispy while the meat is soft and tender. One bite into it and warm juices will ooze into your mouth. I also love the variety of dishes available for me to add to my dish like fried luncheon meat, fish cakes, sausages and ngoh hiang.

My favourite dish is the Nasi Lemak! The nasi lemak is really ordinary at this stall. What stands out most is their fried chicken wing which is crispy and tasty and if you’re lucky, hot from the wok! The sambal belacan here is also very shiok and it is on the sweetish side which I feel should be the case with Nasi Lemak. The sambal also has that wonderful savoury taste of the belacan which hits the Umami Spot. A very, very shiok Nasi Lemak, and I do feel that the best things in life are the simplest!

Shun Fa’s Fried Bee Hoon is my favourite as it is only 80 cents for a plate of hot, pipping plate of tasty bee hoon. The bee hoon is not too oily unlike some that you find in other places and it comes with a generous amount of bean sprouts that adds crunch to the dish. There is also chili and coriander leaves that makes the dish flavourful and you can even eat it on its own! The chili sauce is also extremely fragrant and sweet, complementing the bee hoon very well. When I was there, the friendly owner generously asked me if the bee hoon was enough and gave me a little more without any extra charge. At 80 cents, it is probably one of the cheapest bee hoon in Singapore. If you add their freshly fried cripsy chicken wing or luncheon meat, it certainly makes a hearty breakfast that will make you coming back for more in no time!

I like their fried beehoon because the beehoon is very “Q” and tasty. It is so nice that you can even eat it without having any other side dishes. The side dishes like fish fillet is a must to go with the fried beehoon. The fish fillet is crispy and juicy on the inside. The meat roll also goes well with the fried beehoon. Real meat is used in the meat roll instead of using only flour like what other stalls do.

I like their Nasi Lemak because the rice is not very sticky and has the rich coconut milk smell. This makes the rice tasty and goes well with the dishes and chilli. Furthermore, the chicken wing is very crispy yet juicy and tender on the inside. The ikan billis is very crispy too as it goes really well with the rice. Lastly, The chilli taste is very unique which makes people want to come back for more.

My favourite dish is the nasi lemak. The skin of the chicken wing is very crispy and the meat inside is juicy and tender. The ikan bilis is very crispy and fresh. The owner also gave a generous serving of ikan bilis. The chilli is very fragrant and spiciness is just nice not too spicy. The chilli goes very well with the rice and makes the food very appetizing. Priced at $2 , the nasi lemak is reasonable and affordable. Cheap without compromising on the quality.

I love Shun Fa’s $2 Nasi Lemak and it has got to be one of the best in Singapore. The coconut rice which is served on a pandan leaf is extremely tasty and fluffy; you can feel the richness of every grain when you bite into each spoonful of fragrant rice. The star of the dish would undeniably be the chicken wings. They are fried till its crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chicken meat is tender and succulent, with chicken juices oozing out such that you can taste the sweetness of the meat. For health-conscious folks not to worry, the owner revealed that they actually change the oil regularly and use fresh coconut milk too. Another selling point of the Nasi Lemak is the chili. It is slightly dark in colour and its sweetness is just right. The sambal chili complements the coconut rice really well and adds a distinct flavour to the dish. Also, the generous heap of ikan bilis and nuts are fried until they are crunchy and cripsy. Overall, this Nasi Lemak has a good mix of savoury and sweetness and I always finish every single grain of rice. You have definitely got to try it to see how good it is!
